Bangor Daily News is an American newspaper that publishes "The Phantom" daily strip from 1940 to present and Sunday strip from 1950 to 1967 on Saturdays.
History
The Bangor Daily News is a media company based in Bangor, Maine.
From 1940 to 1947, the Phantom daily strips were published on Saturdays with six strips on a page.
On March 7, 1983, the Phantom was dropped from the comics page due to low scores in a reader survey. However, on March 12 it was announced that the Phantom would return due to response from the readers.
