Plot Summary

Victoria Carter, a journalist, follows an expedition into the jungle to find a hidden valley where ape men are believed to live. The Phantom speaks with Old man Mozz about them, but Mozz only gives a mostly cryptic piece of advise. Two members of the expedition, Davis and Jinks go into the valley to find out if the legenday ape men are real. When The Phantom finds them they have managed to capture an ape man; The Phantom releases it and strongly advises Davis and Jinks to return to the expedition. Instead of leaving they are captured by the ape men who intend to sacrifice them. Sneaking into the ape man village, The Phantom discovers that they worship wolves and with the help of Devil he can create enough confusion to free the two men. Jinks goes by himself into the ape village again and all that ultimately remains for the expedition is the bones from his skeleton.
