Plot summary
In 1646 the 5th Phantom was travelling in England on his way to his mother's relatives in Nottingham. In the English civil war, cavalliers loyal to Charles I were fighting the roundheads, loyal to the English parliament. Arriving to the village of Hathersage, the locals treat him with suspicion. When a group of mounted roundheads appear, they demand gold. The Phantom is left temporarily incapacitated before they leave again. Inside the church is a longbow which according to legend belonged to Little John and which only can be used by the righteous.
