Overview

Fantomen returned to being a full-color magazine this year, for the first time since 1955 with the excpetion of the 40th anniversary issue from 1990. Another milestone published this year was the 1000th issue of Fantomen.

22 issues were regular issues of 68 pages and 4 were expanded issues of 100 pages.

Promotion

Promotional posters were supplied for most issues published during the year.

Covers

Rolf Gohs was the only cover artist this year; painting all 26 covers. This was the first time since 1975 that Gohs was the sole cover artist. The color of the border around the cover was changed from red to blue. On the covers of the first 13 issues, it was pointed out that Fantomen was now printed in full color.

The cover of the 1000th issue was printed on cardboard paper with a relief of the Phantom's head and a gold-colored border.
