Plot Summary

As per tradition the Phantom's son will be named Kit but Diana has not decided a name for the girl. She is browsing the chronicles and decides that she will be named Heloise after Heloise of Hanta. The Phantom tells them the story of how the Phantom met Heloise.

In the small kingdom of Koqania caravans passing through are regularly robbed by the demons of the Hanta witch. The Phantom goes there just as a caravan is attacked by demons. He quickly learns that the demons are men wearing masks. He then continued to the castle to face the Hanta witch herself. She turns out to be a very beautiful woman who explains that she is Heloise, the queen of Koqania and that the story of a witch is just a show. She also declares that they will get married and offers the Phantom a glass of wine. The wine contains a sleeping potion and the Phantom quickly falls asleep. He is put in a cell but manages to get out of it, set fire to a number of powder kegs and then rescue the queen as the castle explodes.

The Phantom takes her with him to Bengali, now having fallen in love with her, and they get married.
