The secret vault in the Catacombs of Rome is one of The Phantom’s secret hide-outs around the world. It was introduced in a 1977 story produced by Team Fantomen.
History
The secret vault is located in the famous underground catacombs of Rome. To access the vault one has to insert the Skull Ring into the eye of a large stone relief of a death skull located on a stone door and turn the ring to open the door. The 1st Phantom found the vault a short time after the dying Paracelsus had given the Skull Ring to him. Mystery in Rome
The 4th Phantom visited the Catacombs of Rome but never visited the secret vault. The 5th Phantom went back to Rome, rediscovered the vault and decided to use it as a hide-out. Plague Infected
