Talk:Les héros de l'aventure

Sorry it's my first essay of editing an article and the result is a disaster...!! There is just a part of the article. If someone can directly re-organize the whole thing, it would be of great help... By the way, as my english is rather poor, please don't hesitate to correct it. Alphan (unable too to log in)

Here was my text as typed (a I would liked to include a list of issues too but it was still harder to form a good presentation. I really have a lot of training and learning to write on Wiki pages!!)

Classiques de l'aventure Les héros de l'aventure

Classiques de l'aventure (becoming Les héros de l'aventure with the 17th issue) was the monthly French version of the Italian Fratelli Spada similar series I classici dell' avventura.

There were 78 issues published between July 1964 and April 1971, each one having 100 pages and four special issues of 132 pages were also published in 1967 and 1968. The series was devoted to The Phantom; a separate and similar publication, called Les héros du mystère, was consacred to Mandrake the magician (the original Italian series had many more issues but featured each one of the two Lee Falk 's characters through separated and alternated numbers, under the one and only I classici dell' avventura title)

The French series was edited by Les Editions des Remparts, a French comics editor based in Lyon, the second important town in France, but this French comic book was printed in Italy by Fratelli Spada.

It was also occasionally distributed in Quebec – the French speaking part of Canada – by Presses Selection Limitée in Montréal.

Some issues featured American stories, from Ray Moore to Sy Barry, and some others featured Italian stories. The cover artwork was the same as its Italian counterpart.

Generally The Phantom story occupied only 30 or 40 pages and the remained pages were devoted to classical comics such as Tim Tyler's Luck, Rip Kirby, Steve Canyon, King of the Mounted Police... Like in Italy, The Phantom's costume was coloured in red.

Really nice work! Don't mind the initial Wiki problems - you'll soon get the grip of it. :) Actually, the only thing that caused the "disaster" was that you started each paragraph with blanks. Just skip them, and it will look great.
Have a look at Help:Wiki markup and the other articles listed at the Community portal, for a quick introduction to working with a Wiki in general and the Phantom Wiki in particular.
As of the English, you seem to get along just as good as the rest of us :)
I hope you will stay around - having some people outside Scandinavia and the English speaking word (as I guess you are), would be a real asset to the PhWiki!
Once again - great work, and welcome aboard! Pjär 18:26, 28 July 2008 (CEST)

Hi Pjär, thank you very much for your advice and encouragement. I hope my next test will be better. Under is the list that I wanted to include at first. If you think it's useful, thank you for joining it with the article. (ps: I am french) Alphan, 29 July 2009

Great list! The goal of PhantomWiki is to have an article of every single issue and publication published in the world (big, eh? :) ) which is why we don't list the contents of each issue in the publication article, but gives an article to each issue, and only list the individual issues on the publication's main page. See Le Fantôme Spécial 12, The Phantom 1445 (Frew) and Fantomen 14/2006 for examples.
If you feel up to it and have the information, it would be amazing if you were to start adding such articles on the French issues. And if you don't, it's fine as well - PhWiki is being built on the idea that everyone participates with what (s)he knows, in the way (s)he wants to. :) Pjär 15:50, 29 July 2008 (CEST)
I second the welcome from Pjär and thank you for your contributions - anything you feel like adding in the future will be appreciated. The story listing will also be used, but as mentioned we will create separate articles for each issue (with cover scans) instead of filling this page with the contents for every issue. Andreas 16:00, 29 July 2008 (CEST)
It's well FIVE extra issues and not FOUR as written by error in my initial text even if the listing was correct. The five extra issues were published at the following dates
  • April 1967 "Le monstre de la vallée verte" (S50-The Monster of Green Valley, by W.Mc Coy)
  • August 1967 "Le tigre boiteux" (S58-The Limper, by W.Mc Coy, C.Infantino and B.Ligante) + one second italian story entitled "Une sévère leçon" in the same issue
  • December 1967 "Le trésor des aïeux" (S60-The Treasure of the Skull Cave, by S.Barry)
  • April 1968 "Le rocher aux mille feux" (Italian story)
  • December 1968 "Héros, cheval de légende" Italian story)
Thanks, I've added the unnumbered specials to the issue listing. Hopefully it will be logical to separate them by release month. I've also added the Album collections. Andreas 19:13, 4 August 2008 (CEST)
For the extra issues (in French, numéros "Hors-série"), the listing seperated by release month is the good one as they came out without numbered order. They came out specifically for the school's holidays in France (Easter in April, Summer in August and X-mas in December) . Being less regular than the usual series, they probably sold not so good and are therefore rarer to found now. (It is interesting to note that for Easter 1968 no issue had been realised) 171.18.2.101 12:47, 7 August 2008 (CEST)
