St Lucifer

St Lucifer is an island in the Caribbean. It became a brutal dictatorship in the 50s under military cleptocrat Truquillo (first name unknown) who ruled through terror and fear of repression by voodoo or his private militia until his death in the early 90s. His son, Truquillo J:r, escaped through a helicopter and free elections won by opposition leader Leon Wortha and the Progressive Party were secured only through intervention from the Phantom and his wife, Diana, ruining former Interior Minister and presidential nominee of the National Party Dr Hexe's plan to foil the election and seize power. Adherents of the former regime led by former Head of Police Olario made an attempt to kill president Wortha through a powerful voodoo curse and literary resurrect Truquillo by using an ancient loa spirit in a ritual performed by Cajun voodoo doctor LaCroix were also thwarted and the schemers (except for LaCroix and Truquillo J:r, who were killed) sent back to prison.

Olario would later escape from prison only to be killed when trying to retrieve part of the national treasure from the Truquillo era, crushed under a safe containing the hidden gold. Treasure of St Lucifer St Lucifer has since remained at peace under Wortha's presumed stable and democratic rule.
