Phantom 2040 (comics)

Phantom 2040 is an American comic book title based on the Phantom 2040 animated TV series and published by Marvel Comics in 1995 (cover dated May-Aug. 1995).

Only four issues were published. It was not promoted as a mini series upon release. The stories were only loosely based on the TV series, and had a different tone than the dark, complicated animated show.

The comic book was written by Peter Quinones, pencilled by Steve Ditko, and inked by Bill Reinhold. Each issue featured a pinup illustration drawn by such artists as Ditko, John Romita Sr. and Mark Pacella, printed on the center pages of the comic (not as a separate poster).
