- This story mark the first appearances of Guran, Dr. Axel, Colonel Weeks and the Jungle Patrol in a Gold Key story. Weeks' name isn't mentioned though, and his appearance differs significantly from that of Colonel Weeks as he appears in the contemporary dailies and Sundays. In his next Gold Key appearance, "The Swamp Rats", his name is mentioned for the first time, and he has also kept his look as established in this first appearance.
