Chagga was a member of the Singh Brotherhood.
Chagga would claim to know the waters around the African coast and guided ships, but he was actually leading them to a pirate ambush. In this way, Chagga participated in the attack in 1536 that led to Christopher Walker becoming the 1st Phantom.
The Phantom proved that Chagga and his leader Kizim were pirates. Sultan Seyyid Ibn Shiraz sentenced Chagga to death by decapitation in 1537.
