"The Swamp Dragon" is the 101st Phantom Sunday story. It was originally published in American newspapers from December 26th, 1976, to April 17th, 1977.

The story was written by Lee Falk and drawn by Sy Barry.

Plot Summary

The 21st Phantom is called to rescue two small children who are lost in The Great Swamp in the jungle. The Phantom rescues them and encounters a strange creature called the Swamp Dragon by the jungle people. The Phantom finds out that it is actually a Dinosaur of genus Stegosaurus believed to be extinct. Realizing that it is herbivore, the Phantom with the help of jungle village people captures and then trains it. Phantom subsequently names it Stegy and takes it to the Isle of Eden.
