Plot synopsis
The Phantom, Rex and Tom-Tom visit sheik Ramur in Morocco. The Phantom tells the story of how his father, the 14th Phantom, and Ramur became friends.
The 14th Phantom was in Tangiers, Morocco, in 1920 where he encountered pirates. The pirates were led by sheik Ramur. The Phantom was captured, but both he and Ramur fell overboard and drifted to sea on a makeshift raft. Ramur still tried to kill the Phantom by stabbing him with a dagger, but the Phantom defeated him and Ramur gave up and gave away the dagger. Ramur swore he would give up piracy. After three days, they reached the shore of Ramur's kingdom, but when they reached the palace they discovered that his brother Achmed had taken control. With the Phantom's help, Ramur could take back the throne.
In present day, 63 years later, the dagger is still in Ramur's palace. While looking at it, the current Phantom sees in the reflection how assassins prepare to shoot Ramur. The Phantom throws the dagger at the assassins and saves Ramur's life.
