Plot synopsis
In The Misty Mountains lies a small country, Sirocco, ruled by a dictator, the sultan of Sirocco. There is political unrest and attempts have been made on the ruler's life. He sends for his nephew, prince Hassan who is spending a gap year in Bengali at Dr. Axel's Jungle Hospital. When the prince returns to Sirocco he is introduced to the top brass of Sirocco who are all pretenders to the throne. When making a toast for the prince, the sultan falls down dead, murdered with a poisonous drink.
