Behind the scenes
- This was intended to be the first in a cooperation between Semic Press and Fratelli Spada, where Semic supplied scripts and Spada did the artwork. As Spada's production of stories ended soon after, there were no more cooperations like this. Otherwise, "The Thousand Tigers" would have been the second story in this cooperation.
- No writer was credited at publication. According to documents donated to Seriearkivet/The Comics Archive, Janne Lundström wrote the synopsis and the script was done by Hans Jonsson, after which Lundström did the final edits of the script. This and "The Last of the Singh Pirates" was originally written as a script for one 24-page story.
- Although the writers were paid by Semic Press, according to Janne Lundström's receipts donated to Seriearkivet/The Comics Archive, the story was technically a Fratelli Spada production. When it was published in Sweden (both parts combined into one story, as originally intended), it was copyrighted to the KFS representative Bulls and Fratelli Spada.
