Title

Google translates "Eine Rechnung geht nicht auf" to "The math doesn't add up". I don't understand how that matches the storyline any more than "A Sum Doesn't Work" though. It could be an idiom that would be expressed differently in English. Andreas (talk) 01:24, 16 June 2026 (CEST)

I think that Doo47 translated titles. I've asked AI, answer is that "Eine Rechnung geht nicht auf" can means "A Sum Doesn't Work", but it's better option "The sum doesn't work out". Delboj (talk) 18:23, 16 June 2026 (CEST)
Still doesn't make sense in English. Google says: "Ja, "die Rechnung geht nicht auf" ist ein sehr geläufiges deutsches Idiom (Redewendung). Es bedeutet im übertragenen Sinn, dass eine Planung, eine Erwartung oder ein Kalkül nicht wie erhofft aufgeht oder fehlschlägt." So there must be some non-literal translation into English that better matches what the story is about. Andreas (talk) 21:45, 16 June 2026 (CEST)

You are right. Maybe "A plan doesn't work" would be more accurate ?
