Fictional character biography
Sherazad is an orphan whose parents were murdered by Aziz Yussuf who fancied Sherazad's mother. Sherazad's mother rebuffed Aziz and in a Aziz was humiliated. He never forgot this and when Sherazad's parents crossed his path again he took advantage of the situation and had them murdered, leaving Sherazad an orphan.
Sherazad is the reincarnation of Balkis, the Queen of Saba. She and a caravan she is traveling with come across an unconcious Phantom in the Egyptian desert where he has crash landed, a plot instigated by Aziz, who is now ruler of his own city. Sherazad takes The Phantom to a nearby town where there is a doctor she knows helps him recover. With no memory of who he is The Phantom agrees to stay with Sherazad and her caravan to help protect it from bandits. However, one night the caravan is attacked an everyone apart from The Phantom and Sherazad are killed. The two now must walk the desert hoping to find shelter.
Sherazad and The Phantom come across an abandoned city and take refuge there. As The Phantom explores, Sherazad is kidnapped by a cult who wish to sacrifice her to their gods. However, an army who is looking for the cult show up and, after a great battle, the cult is defeated. The Phantom and Sherazad find a motorbike which they take and head towards Sherazad's home.
Finally arriving at Sherazad's home, The Phantom and Sherazad declare their love for one another. They spend several happy days together before Aziz shows up. It is revealed that as he could not have Sherazad's mother, he now wants her but, like her mother, Sherazad is not interested. In his anger at Sherazad's dismissal of his advances, Aziz admits that it was he who killed Sherazad's parents and who put the snake in The Phantom's plane. A fight breaks out and Aziz manages to fire a shot off at The Phantom, the bullet striking him in the head and knocking him unconscious. Aziz escaped Sherazad and The Phantom, but in his haste to get away runs into some quicksand and succums.
Back in Sherazad's mansion, The Phantom awakens with his memory restored.

Behind the scenes
- In her first appearance, Sherazad's name is spelt "Sharazad."
- During the scene in The Queen of Saba, Part 3: The Fez Man, when the Phantom tries to get information out of Aziz, he calls Sherazad "Saba." This could be attributed to his confused state of mind.
