The Norbert Hethke Verlag, based in Schönau, Germany, was founded in 1977 by Norbert Hethke; the publishing house was closed on December 31, 2007, a few months after Norbert Hethke's death. The products from Hethke Verlag were then sold by his son Volker Hethke for around two years.

The publisher published, among other things, The Speech Bubble and the German Comic Price Catalog. He also had a large reprint program, such as Buntes Allerlei and the Phantom-Heft. Almost the entire comic program of the Lehning publishing house was probably published in one form or another by Norbert Hethke, be it as a facsimile in piccolo or large volume format, or as a softcover or hardcover album. The publisher also published new stories with the old heroes, Sigurd, Akim, Nick, Falk.
