History
Grand Prairie News Texan was a daily newspaper based in Grand Prairie, Texas. In October 1966, the Grand Prairie News Texan changed its name to the Grand Prairie Daily News. "The Phantom" first appeared in Grand Prairie News Texan on July 5, 1965. Unlike tradition in other American newspapers, Phantom stories were finished on Sunday, not published on Saturday.
