A Gazeta

A Gazeta was a Brazilian newspaper that published "The Phantom" daily strip between 1936 and 1940 in the comics supplement A Gazetinha.

History

A Gazetinha was a comic supplement published in newspaper format that reprinted various comic strips. Each issue included a single chapter of The Phantom, consisting of three daily strips.

Originally launched in 1929 under the name A Gazeta – Edição Infantil, it was renamed A Gazetinha in 1933 and later relaunched in 1948 as A Gazeta Juvenil, before being discontinued in 1950.

Some covers were illustrated by Manoel Messias de Mello (1904-1994), such as A Gazetinha #257, which featured a cover with The Phantom.
