"1943, Part 1" is a 2015 Team Fantomen story, written by John Rassy, with art by Alex Saviuk.

Plot summary

The 20th Phantom arrives in Nimes, France, in 1943 to help his wife's brother Johnny Thorne leave France and travel to Bengali. The Phantom learns that a civil servant at the US embassy in Paris is colluding with a SS officer to sell stolen paintings. The French Resistance is also active and believes that the Phantom is a Gestapo agent.
