"The Escaped Convicts" is the 127th Phantom Sunday story. It was written by Lee Falk and drawn by Sy Barry.
Plot Summary
Three convicts escape from prison only to end up stranded on Eden where the Phantom and his family are enjoying themselves on the beach. Two convicts and their helicopter pilot steal Diana's Automobile, alerting the Phantom to their presence. The third convict arrives at the beach and confronts Diana and the children. The Phantom restrains the car thieves while Stegy, Hzz, and Baldy help recapture the fourth convict. The Jungle Patrol arrives by helicopter to transport the convicts (and their pilot) back to prison.
A dream sequence plugs the upcoming Defenders of the Earth series.
