Story was a Belgian weekly popular tabloid comic published in Brussels by the "Editions du Pont Levis" from 1945 until the early fifties. Like many Belgian magazines, issues were released in two similar versions but with different languages, one in French (for the Wallonia and the Brussels regions) and one in Dutch version (for the Flanders region).

History

From the issue #289 on December 28, 1950, "The Phantom" appearing on only 13 issues with only one story, namely "La Princesse Dorée" (French title of "The Golden Princess") / "De Goudprinses" (Dutch title), alongside the usual American comics of the review like – amongst others - "The Katzenjammer Kids", "Popeye", "Big Ben Bolt", "Tim Tyler’s Luck", "Flash Gordon", "Mandrake the Magician", "The Lone Ranger", as well as some Belgian or Dutch comics. In Flemish / Dutch version, the Phantom was called "Het Spook" ("The Ghost").

Apart the comics, published in colour for most of them, half of the magazine consisted of articles written about film, new writing and games. The issues were also glued together to form thirteen separate albums from the issues #1 to the issue # 301.
