Nenad Mirković is/was a Yugoslavian/Serbian cover artist.

Biography

Nenad Mirković, son of a famous portraitist, painter Brana Mirković (from Belgrade), worked as a main illustrator of "Politikin Zabavnik" and special issues of Politikin Zabavnik - "Denis" and "Strip" from 1974 to 1985. His cover illustrations are mostly done in oil paint and distemper, though he sometimes used pencils. His huge talent allowed him to work with equal success from realistic to modern style. Working as an illustrator he become quicker and more precise, which later helped him to continue his painting career in America. As of 1985 he lives in Houston, Tx, and has his own gallery there since 1993. In 2008, four his illustrations were admitted to The Belgrade Museum of Contemporary Art.
