Fischer Verlag

The S. Fischer Verlag is a publishing house founded in 1886 by Samuel Fischer in Berlin, Germany, which soon became the leading publication house of naturalism and classical modernism in the German language. In the 20th century, the publishing house became one of the most internationally visible and renowned German language houses. Traditionally based in Berlin-Schöneberg, Germany, until 1942, the company has had its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, since 1948.
