Yet another year with Covid-19 has left the Scandinavian Chapter without our usual sources of income. No meetings and no fairs equals zero income for us. So if you are a Phan of the Phantom and like the service we provide to you and fellow Phans, through this PhantomWiki we therefore, ask you to donate to the cost of running it. |
El Hombre Enmascarado (Héroes del Cómic)
El Hombre Enmascarado was a Spanish publication dedicated to "The Phantom".
History
It was published 1971-1973. A total of 96 issues were published in Spain by the San Sebastian publisher Buru Lan, S.A. de edicionnes. A similar series was devoted to other comics classics such as "Mandrake the Magician", "Flash Gordon", "Terry and the Pirates", and "Prince Valiant". Printed in large format (23 x 30 cm) with 24 pages, these coloured issues were released weekly and later collected in separate albums of 248 pages, each volume representing a total of 12 issues. It seems that they were also distributed in Mexico and Venezuela, two Spanish speaking countries in South America.
It should be noted that while wanting to be a chronological reprint series of the early daily strips, it however began with the fourth daily story "Little Toma".
