Dynamic Marketing Series I is an Australian trading card series released in 1994. The series was designed by Glenn Ford and consisted of 117 cards in total.

Set Details

Base Set

The base set of the series (non-special cards) can be divided into "sections" detailing various parts of Phantom lore and history.

  • Cards #1 - 6 detailed artists who has worked on the Phantom strip.
  • Cards #7 - 12 featured images of locations and animal characters. The back of these formed a map of the Deep Woods
  • Cards #13 - 18 provided short biographies of supporting characters such as Diana Palmer and Guran
  • Cards 19 - 78 featured the story "The Empty Cave" by Philip Cornell with art by Ford. The back of these cards hinted at the mysteries of the story as well providing clues that had been discovered thus far. The story continues in Dynamic Marketing Series II
  • Cards 79 - 102 feature key issues from the publication history of the character, detailing issues from several publishers.
  • Cards 103 - 108 detailed various spin-offs such as The Phantom (1943 movie serial) and Defenders of the Earth.
  • Cards 109 and 110 are series checklists

Gallery Cards

The series featured a sub-set called Gallery Cards shortened to G Cards in most instances. These special foil cards featured artwork by some of the most renowned Phantom artists. There are seven in total, G0 to G6. G0 is the most uncommon featuring Lee Falk. Variants of G0 were also produced; 50 signed by Falk himself and another variant signed by Falk and Ford.

Dynamic Marketing also produced an official album to accompany the series.
