Behind the scenes

  • The name "Connie" makes yet an appearance as the name of the ship in the story. Connie was the nick-name of Lee Falk's second wife Constance, and he named several characters after her.
  • The boy taking care of Hero while The Phantom is away from the jungle is called by his name, Toma, for one of the few times during the McCoy era of the strips.
