Plot summary
Ming's ice robots are building his new headquarters in the arctic when Octon informs him that a fleet of unknown origin approaches Earth, Ming immediately orders Octon to break into their code and find out who they are.
Meanwhile at Mandrake's house, Rick Gordon is almost finished with creating Dynak X, the most advanced computer seen on Earth and the first to have a human essence at its center; they are using the crystal that contains essence of Rick's mother. As soon as it is operational, it also discovers the fleet.
Octon informs Ming that the prescence of a new computer using Flash Gordon's code has been sensed, Ming vows that if Flash is behind it, he will destroy him. Unfortunately, the location of the computer is given as "unknown".
At Mandrake's house, Flash identifies the fleet as Krayil (?), old friends of his that has come to help them construct their new headquarter. The commander of the fleet, Morcan (?), hails them and they start talking. They tell him that they have decided to call their new base Monitor. Unfortunately, Ming has broken Dynak X' code and is hearing everything. He sends his ice robots after them to follow the fleet to the new headquarter. When the fleet comes under attack, the Defenders realizes what has happened and Flash takes his ship and together with the Krayil they destroy all ship but the one commanded by Garax. However, Kshin and Zuffy has climbed the mountain behind the house to get a better view and Zuffy is identified as native to Mongo, Ming orders their capture. Two ice robots are dispatched to capture them, but Zuffy discovers a cave in the mountain that no one knew about and through that they escape, ending up with a lava stream between them and the robots. When the robots tries to cross the stream they sink, but not before they has blasted a new tunnnel into which Kshin and Zuffy escapes, ending up in Mandrake's vine cellar. There they are discovered by Jedda and Kisa.
After mapping the caves, they find it ideal for new headquarters, the only problem is that it is a volcano which is still not entirely extinct. Morcan, however, assures them that they are the only ones that could build a construction which will keep the complex safe, while Jedda figures out that they could use the thermo-energy to power it. And so construction starts, Jedda missing the jungle though.
At Ming's headquarters, Octon detect the energy output of the construction and Ming sends an attack force of ice robots into the mountain.
