Fictional Character Biography
According to Team Fantomen
He was born in 1717 to the 9th Phantom and Flame Stanbury.
He was probably the one who met the Golden people in April 1735 and then proposed to the queen, since his father married 1717.
His wife was named Marianne, nicknamed Mary. Her father was Scottish, but her mother was French. They had two boys, one born 1738 or 1739 and the other around 1749 or 1750. The fate of the younger is still unknown.
In 1752, his son was serving aboard a ship when a mutiny broke out. It took more than a half year before the 10th Phantom got any message of what had happened to his son and could go to rescue him.
Around 1756, he killed the father of Wu Fang, a high chinese criminal leader.
In 1757, the 10th Phantom lost his right arm and was severly injured in his face during a duel with the Singh leader Ashar Singh. Unable to continue as the Phantom, his son had to swear the Oath of the Skull.
A little less than one year later, the 10th Phantom faced Ashar Singh to finish their duel. He had alerted his son and wife to what he was up to so they witnessed the duel that took place. Ashar was taken by a giant squid and when the 10th Phantom run towards him to help, Ashar shot him in the heart before the giant squid draw him down into the depths of the sea. The 11th Phantom and Marianne then run to him. He handed over the Skull Ring to his son and recognized that he now was the Phantom before he died in the arms of his wife.
According to Lee Falk
The 10th Phantom married the daughter of a Scandinavian ship captain, after rescuing her from a sinking vessel, as told in "The Heirs" and "Captain Amazon - Pirate Queen".
According to Moonstone
In 1744, the 10th Phantom escorted Princess Sophia Augusta Frederika on her way to Moscow where she would marry Peter Feodorovich. It was a personal favor to her parents, and on the journey the 10th Phantom carried his grandfather's pistol. During the trip he was attacked by a Wasaka warrior who was the current living incarnation of Kua.
According to Bastei
The 10th Phantom was born in 1792, succeeded his father in 1821 and died in 1850.
