"Stone Avalanche" is a 1967 Fratelli Spada story by Dino Leonetti.
Plot summary
When Diana and the Phantom go for a horseride in the mountain regions they encounter a mysterious inscription in the mountainside. Later in the chronicleroom the Phantom explains the background to the inscription by reading from one of his ancestor's chronicles. From the book a story unfolds how the Phantom stopped a mongolian horde from invading Bangalla.
