Indrajal Comics was a series launched by the publisher of The Times of India, Bennet, Coleman & Co in March of 1964. The first 32 issues contained The Phantom stories, but thereafter, the title alternated between various King Features characters, including Mandrake, Flash Gordon, and Buz Sawyer. Later it also published Bahadur, an Indian comic hero created by Aabid Surti.

A total of 803 comic books were published from Indrajal, ceasing in April of 1990.

The Indrajal books often contain colorized versions of the most popular Phantom stories and may be of intrigue to Phantom fans who have favorite stories, as many of the Indrajal versions of the daily and Sunday strips contain frames which are slightly expanded, due to the larger medium of the comic book, while some frames are omitted.

For a sample of frames from Indrajal books, see The Tyrant of Tarakimo and Return To Tarakimo.

There are a number of Indrajal fan sites, most notably the Indrajal Comic Club which contains more information about Indrajal, as well as many downloadable comics.
