Tony DePaul (born 1954) is an American comics writer. Since the early 1990's he has written several comic for the Swedish Fantomen comic book, including "The Phantom". Because of this, he got the opportunity to take over the Phantom daily and Sunday strip.
Because of a serious motorcycle accident and the time it took to recover, he re-used some of his earlier Fantomen scripts for the newspaper strip.
Besides "The Phantom", he has written the comics "Deathgame" and "Det okända" for Fantomen, both illustrated by Kari Leppänen.
