Behind the scenes
- In its first publication, the story was set in 1803 and featured the 14th Phantom. This was later changed to the 13th Phantom when the story was reprinted in Fantomen Krönika 5/2004.
- On the cover of Fantomen 3/1975, the story was called "Resan" (i.e. "The Journey").
- In Turkey, this story was published under the title "Tehlikeli Yolculuk" ("The Dangerous Journey"). It is longer than the Swedish version and includes a sequence that was most likely edited out by Janne Lundström when he worked on the story with Eralp. The original title panel for the story portrays the scene that was edited out, and therefore had to be replaced. The original artwork for the first version of the title panel was donated by Lundström to The Swedish Comics Archive in Malmö.
