Moonstone Books has published several graphic novels featuring The Phantom.

During its first years as a Phantom publisher (2002-2004) the graphic novel was the main format for Moonstone's Phantom lineup. In total, five novels were released before the Phantom regular series was launched, and the graphic novel series ended. These five novels marked Moonstone as the first US publisher to produce original Phantom material since Marvel Comics canceled their Phantom 2040 line in 1995.

In 2006, Moonstone began a new series of original graphic novels in the "wide vision" format, which is not regular comic stories but illustrated prose.
