The Ghost Who Walks is the name of a planned Phantom movie project. According to the Internet Movie Database, it is set to premiere in 2009, but nobody involved with the film have actually confirmed this.

Plot Outline

In the dangerous jungles and even more dangerous streets of exotic Bengalla, a seemingly immortal crime fighter brings fear to the guilty and hope to the downtrodden.

Project history

The project was first announced in 2002, when Hyde Park Entertainment, led by producer Ashok Amritraj, and Crusader Entertainment, led by producer Howard Baldwin, acquired the feature film rights to The Phantom comic strip. Later on, Howard Baldwin started left Crusader to form Baldwin Entertainment Group with his wife Karen.

Hyde Park Entertainment and Baldwin Entertainment Group are also in the process of making a film about Mandrake the Magician, Lee Falk's other creation, starring actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers, which will be made before the eventual Phantom movie gets of the ground.

Known drafts of the script has been written by Steven E. de Souza, Mel Stewart, and Mark Brewington.
