Mahmoud the Cruel was a criminal overlord from Cairo.
Fictional character biography
Mahmoud the Cruel was the criminal overlord from Cairo who recruited Patrolman Roger Byrnes of the Jungle Patrol to steal the Pandora’s Mask. As told by him to the Phantom his family had always been the owner of the Pandora’s Box. He needed the mask to open the box which would make him powerful enough to conquer the whole world. Mahmoud finally manages to open the Pandora’s box which results in a strange vortex which sucks in everybody including him into the box ending his life and criminal career.
