[[Diana Palmer-Walker|Diana Palmer]] is kidnapped from her home in the United States. A letter apparently left by her is found by her maid wich stats she has run away to marry [[The 21st Phantom|The Phantom]]. Worried, [[Dave Palmer]] travel to the [[Deep Woods]] to confront The Phantom. However, it turns out that he, too, has received a letter. The Phantom's letter says that Diana has decided that the life of a Phantom wife is not for her and that she has gone off with another man. Confused, the Phantom leaves Dave to go and search for his fiance. It transpires that someone impersonating the Phantom has sold Diana to a local jungle chief who has plans to marry her.

Plot synopsis
