Jungle Patrol Monument

The Jungle Patrol Monument, also known as The Unknown Patrolman's Monument, is located in the deep jungle, not far from the Jungle Patrol Headquarters and honors the common memories of of Patrolmen killed on duty (like Tomb of the Unknown Soldier). The monument has the shape of an obelisk and is engraved with the Good Sign.

History

According to Team Fantomen

Below the engraving of the Good Sign is carved out the year "1827", referring to a battle that took place in this year. The Secret of Polymos All four sides of the obelisk appear to have the engraving and the inscription. Duel on Destiny Top, Part 1

According to the Newspaper Strip

The upper part of the obelisk appear to have been redesigned into a bust depicting the Unknown Patrolman. The Wiseguy

Behind the Scenes

The Phantom Project Kit in The Phantom #1094 states that the monument honours the Unknown Commander. However, this has never been mentioned in the stories and seems to be a misunderstanding due to the word "Unknown".
