"1492-1975: Glimpses from a Family History" is a 1975 Team Fantomen "story", composed of panels from previous stories put together with new editorial text, to form – as the title says – glimpses from previous generations of the Phantom line.

It was created for the Swedish "Stora jubileumsboken", released to celebrate the 25th aniversary of the Fantomen magazine in 1975.

Included stories

The stories used as sources are:

While the selection includes every main "past Phantom story" (existing by the time of the release of "Stora jubileumsboken" in 1975) with art by either Barry or Vallvé, it notably omits every Lee Falk episode from the pre-Barry era (most notably "The Chain" and "The Female Phantom"), and every Team Fantomen story with art by Özcan Eralp ("The Pirate Treasure", "Terror in the Desert", "The Slavers", "Wagon Master", and "Curse of the Medicine Men"), as well as every Fratelli Spada story printed in Sweden. It also omits the lengthy episode with the 8th Phantom from Vallvé's "The Thousand Tigers".

With the story being released while the Team Fantomen chronology was still being worked out, it includes some notable details which have since been changed: the current Phantom is said to be the 20th (not the 21st) of the line and the 7th Phantom is said to have been the brother (not the son) of the 6th. Also - the Phantom appearing in "Tale of the Good Mark", "The Adventures of Lucy Cary", and "The Prisoner in Marrakech", has since been changed to the 19th (in the case of the latter two, this was due to the fact that the Phantom of these stories is specifically told to be the current one's grandfather).
