Plot synopsis
Following the events of The Ring, the 1st Phantom leaves London with the scientist Paracelsus. Arriving in Paris they hear gossip about the cruel Baron de Phénix. The baron kidnaps Paracelsus and offers him employment to solve the mystery of the philosopher's stone, including access to a scientific library and laboratory. Meanwhile the Phantom challenges the king of the beggars in a duel.
