Talk:Zaal

Zaal is also the name of the city in which he was worshipped, which lies in Dakk. I think it is worth mentioning in this article that there also is a city named Zaal. Since we seems to be listing all locations, it might deserve an article of its own. Definitely a mentioning in Dakk. We sould perhaps let Zaal be a disambig page with links to Zaal (god) and Zaal (city). What are your thoughts? Karl MAN 12:58, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

I think that Zaal (idol) or Zaal (cult) might be a better name than Zaal (god), since it refers to the idol/cult and not the mythological Zaal god, which we know almost nothing about. Andreas 18:58, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Deities and idols have been an integral part of the Phantom lore for years. I have been reading Phantom comics for 50 years and removing that category from the wiki will be a pity. Where ever we have more information on a cult associated with the idol or deity we can have a seperate page. For example there are two article on Thuggee idol/Changra and the thuggee organisation. So perhaps same can be done for Zaal the idol and Zaal the city. I would be infavour of retaining a category for idols and creating a seperate category or page for the cults.
