Phantom (Comic Art)
Phantom was an Italian series of 55 issues exclusively devoted to the Phantom daily stories, published by Comic Art which specialized in reprinted newspaper comics.
History
The series was published monthly with the stories in their original chronological order. This reprint series lasted 8 years, the first issue published in June 1991 and the last one in June 1998. The contents represents all daily stories drawn by Ray Moore and Wilson McCoy. All the issues featured "Brick Bradford" stories as back-up.
The colour cover of each issue was composed of a patchwork of panels taken from the inside story. At the same time, a similar series from the same publisher was dedicated to "Mandrake the Magician".
Unsold copies were glued together with a new outside cover and sold as collections called Raccolta.
Also, in 1993-1994, four extra issues - with a different and larger format - were also published. They were published as a separate supplements to this series and strictly devoted to the later Sunday pages of Wilson McCoy.
