PhantomWiki talk:Bandar Village
References
I've noted that posts here don't use referances (notes on where information originally came from) like Wikipedia does. Is this a conscious decision of PhantomWiki or are people just not doing it? Is there any kind of official stance on referencing? JoeMD (talk) 08:35, 13 August 2015 (CEST)
- References are appreciated! For examples on how to use "in-story" references, see for example the Miss Tagama article. For "real world" references we are perhaps not so consistent, but you can see some examples in the Paul Ryan article (direct links in the article) or Bob Almond (footnotes). - Iv'e always been of the mind that sources should be referenced wherever possible so I'll try and do that from now on. However, the external link bug still seems to be occurring which could present a problem when trying to reference things. JoeMD (talk) 17:29, 14 August 2015 (CEST)
- If this post works, then the external link bug is fixed. This is a link to Chronicle Chamber Andreas (talk) 22:36, 14 August 2015 (CEST)

Since the Bandar Village is an important part of the Phanwiki community i was wondering if someone could create a link on the Navigation bar for it. maybe replace the donations link which seems to serve little purpose --Dark Lord Xander4 02:03, 25 April 2008 (CEST)
Forum
Also Rather Than a Talk Page i was wondering if you wouldn't mind me playing around with it to create a forum (or we could work on it together) making it easier for users to know which topics are still active Example SW Wiki Talk --Dark Lord Xander4 10:49, 25 April 2008 (CEST)
- Does the forum require anything new to be installed or can you work with the Wiki as it is now? Andreas 11:17, 25 April 2008 (CEST)
Apart from allocated Server space i think the majority of it is done through coding and Templates --Dark Lord Xander4 11:31, 25 April 2008 (CEST)
I am going to attempt to create the nessisary Templates to create a functioning forum within the wiki so if anyone sees some pages that don't seem right I would ask that they hold off deleting them for the time being --Dark Lord Xander 00:55, 11 December 2008 (CET)
Time of Current Issues
I was wondering how long it had to be since a topic had been replied to before it was moved into the archives at the moment i think it should be a month since the last comment --Dark Lord Xander4 08:24, 27 May 2008 (CEST)
Time to put some in the archive?
In my opinion, this page has become a little too bulky now. I think it is time again to put some of the finished discussion in an archive article. Karl MAN 20:33, 26 March 2011 (CET)
- Today, there are three archive pages with the latest edits being done in 2010. I think it is time to start transferring some of the discussions to new archive pages as some of the discussions had had no more entrances since 2011. Karl MAN (talk) 19:25, 7 November 2015 (CET)
Hong Kong
In this list https://www.phantomwiki.org/index.php/China_(location), Taipei, Hong Kong, and Macao are mentioned as part of China.
But what to do with the Phantom publications in Hong Kong newspaper when Hong Kong was British colony?

Add it as British newspapers, Chinese newspapers or separate country? Delboj (talk) 10:31, 24 July 2025 (CEST)
- It is tricky because the Phantom has been published over the world over such a long time that borders change.
- I don't think it is a political comment to have a separate "Hong Kong (location)" page for those publications you mention. While the (location) pages are for countries, they are for the fictional countries in the Phantom universe, such as Bangalla (which used to be Bengali - even the Phantom's home country has changed name!). Perhaps the description on the "Hong Kong (location)" page could point to both the China (location) and the United Kingdom (location) page with a comment about its history?

- I think do Hong Kong as a seperate location. Much like you have with Yugoslavia which is no longer a country.
