Fictional Character Biography

According to the newspaper strip

Julie and her twin brother were born August 3, 1852. She was raised together with her brother and was given the same training.

When her brother became the Phantom, she remained in the Skull Cave. One day, her brother was wounded when he tried to free a missionary that had been taken by pirates. Julie had seen everything and saved her brother. She brought her brother back to the Skull Cave. Since her brother was injured, she took one of his spare suits and made it fit for her, then she put it on and went to save the missionary. The mission was a success, but she had fell in love with the missionary. She told her brother that she wanted to be as normal girls; have nice dresses and things. Her brother thought he understood her and bought her a dress, he then talked her into putting it on and come with him to the missionary. When he met the missionary, with his sister hiding in the nearest bushes, he demonstrated that he was a man of few words, saying "My sister is in love with you. What are you going to do about that?" The missionary had barely taken in that this must be the brother of the woman who rescued him before Julie showed herself from behind the bushes, very upset saying that she did not want to see him. The missionary, however, managed to convince her that he loved her. They were married, had four children, and lived happily ever after. The Female Phantom

Julie and her brother have been referred to as the children of the 17th Phantom The Delta Pirates, and as the children of the 16th Phantom and Annie Morgan. The Phantom Cowboy

The Slave's Railway Her brother assumed the title of the Phantom 1869. She replaced him and served as the Phantom on several occasions when he was injured or missing.

No later than 1880, she married the missionary Paul Colbert and became Mrs. Julie Colbert. Her husband died of malaria, and in July 1885 she traveled to France and became a student of the great Louis Pasteur. She returned as a doctor in 1886, with intent to help the jungle tribes. She spent her last years at the Skull Cave and died during the time of the 19th Phantom, in the early 1900's. Julie

Julie was married and had children. In 1889, she and her family travelled to America to bring books and medicine to the Navajo tribe. Julie stopped in New York to meet her brother and their friend, reporter Nellie Bly. This led to Julie following Nellie Bly on her trip around the world, to protect Nellie from assassins. The trip took 72 days and after that Julie reuinted with her family in New Mexico. Race Against Death

It has not been clearly stated if Julie is the sister of the 17th or 18th Phantom, but since the 19th Phantom is active in 1933 Five Days of the Dragon Chapter 4, it makes it more likely that Julie is the sister of the 17th Phantom.
