Thanks Mate. Yeah, I knew about the shortcut for signing but the last couple of days I have been accessing the Wiki from work and seeing how it is public computer I didn't want to log in. And instead of leaving the comments without a name or with a random IP address I wrote my name so you guys knew who it was from. Geaghs 12:31, 27 March 2008 (CET)
Re:Welcome
Thanks for the welcome. Will defiantly be adding as much as I can from my database every chance I get. I was having some issues with editing to start with (I honestly had no idea what I was doing) but Xander helped me out. I also noticed you editing some of the articles I had posted (thanks for that, I wasn't really sure what I was doing :) ) and this answered a few more questions on how I should be doing formatting and so forth. If I have more questions or problems I will definitely write you a message.
Templates
I have been checking the recent changes page and noticed that you have made a few templates and was wondering if you could make one for pages with excessive red links as a way to point out areas that need work to users who other wise may not find it and may know something about it. If you are to busy or think its to early for such a template don't worry it was just a suggestion :) --Dark Lord Xander 07:21, 21 February 2008 (CET)

: What i was suggesting was something that said (Perhaps the archives are incomplete.

This article has an excess of redlinks in it.

great work on creating the templates although one issue seems to have appeaed the top and side Nav bars seem to shrink and go down half the page when i add the translation template to an article could you fix this ? --Dark Lord Xander3 06:43, 26 March 2008 (CET)

I was wondering if this should be the page to put in a table of FREW releases and their release dates? I was thinking something like the below in a table. The issue would then link to the indvidual issue page which would hold all the details on stories, etc.

ISSUE Release Date

Phantom #1 ??/??/1948
Phantom #2 ??/??/1948
Let us know what you think. If you guys are fine with it I will start work on it shortly.

Its a bit like what we have at the momnet were you have details of the issue which include release dates which then go off to pages on the stories --Dark Lord Xander3 05:38, 25 March 2008 (CET)

Kind of like that but this would just be a page that would list all the issues in one spot. At the moment the only way (that I have found anyway) to find a specific issue is to search for it individually. I was thinking you could come to this page, click on Issue 125 (for example) and then that would take you to the page for that issue, which would have all the producer details, cover scan, stories contained, bonus's that come with issue and so forth (basically how the issue page is set up now). It would be kind of like how the stories pages are currently set up (Daily, Sunday, Team Fantomen, etc.) but would be for the actual issues. Just a thought anyhow.
Geaghs.

:: Yes, this would be the place to list the individual issues; however we haven't quite decided on the form yet. For some publications (like Domingos Alegres, Paquito and El Fantasma (Edar)) we have cover galleries. For others (like Politikin Zabavnik) we just have a list, because we don't have any scans yet. And we have not done any listings for long-running publications like Frew's Phantom, which has over 1500 issues. A cover gallery (or a list for that matter) will be huge unless divided in a smart way somehow. Member 7 07:41, 25 March 2008 (CET)

:: I think the way to do it for Frew would be just a list or lists (the way I would do the lists is by years, so you would have a link for 1948 which would then contain the list of Frew comics released that year), as you said it would be absolutely giant if you were to put the cover scans on the page as well. The covers could be scanned into the individual issue page. Also I think if we had a list set up here, it is an easy reference point for what FREW issues still need to be added, as there links would be red. I am willing to start it shortly, once I have finished tidying up the Marvel & DC issues I have info for, if no one has any objections. It would be just something basic but we could format it and tidy up a bit as we went on.
Fictional Character Biography
According to Team Fantomen
Christopher Walker was born in 1516 as the son of Captain Christopher Walker and Mary Walker of Plymouth, England. He spent much of his childhood with his cousin Simon Walker.

In 1527, he and his father visited Rome and found Caesar's laurel.

From 1530 to 1536 he served on board his father's ship. It was on the last journey before his father's retirement that the ship was attacked by Singh Pirates in the Bay of Bangalla. Young Christopher was washed ashore as the only survivor of the pirate attack. He was found and helped by people of the Bandar tribe. On the skull of his father's murder, Christopher swore the Oath of the Skull and became the Avenger.

After helping the bandars to break free from slavery of the Wasaka tribe and creating a costume based on the Demon God of Wasaka aswell as finding a new home - the Skull Cave in the Deep Woods - he began to plan revenge on the man responsible for the pirate attack. One year after the attack on his father's ship he got revenge and brought the pirate leader Kizim, who used the name El Aswad, to court where he was sentenced to death.

In 1538, he had a vision and saw his recently deceased cousin Simon Walker (though he did not know that he was dead at that point), who asked him to clear his name. He then travelled to Malta and discovered that Simon had been part of a mission to retrieve some lost treasures which had been captured by arab thugs and Simon was accused by the only knight who was let go of having been broken down by the torture and told where the treasure was hidden. Simon's servant Drago, who had been let go by his capturers, told him that it was the knight who had betrayed the location of the treasure. The 1st Phantom managed to clear his cousin's and was for the first time called "the Phantom", by Suliman who believed it was Simon Walker returning from beyond the grave. He was then made a knight of the Order of Saint John at Malta.

In 1540, he travelled back to England and through a sequence of events he was given the Skull Ring from Paracelsus. It is said to once have belonged to emperor Nero.

He married princess Marabella of Maravilloso in 1545.

In 1565 he participated in the defense of Malta against the Turkish sultan Suleiman and was badly wounded but survived. He and his son then returned to Bangalla but the means of traveling were not so advanced in those days so they didn't arrive in the Skull Cave until February 1566. By then he was so weak that he died in the Skull Cave shortly after that his son, who then was 18 years old, had sworn the Oath of the Phantom and become the 2nd Phantom.

According to Lee Falk
The year of the death of the father of the first Phantom and of the birth of the Phantom line has been specified as 1525 ("The Singh Brotherhood"), 1535, 1536 and 1550 ("The First Phantom"). After swearing the Oath of the Skull, he became ruler of the jungle by entering the annual wrestling tourney ("The Wrestling Tourney") an he received the Skull ring from the jungle kings ("The Phantom's Ring"). In 1555 he fought the pirate Thomas Kidder ("Captain Kidder's Treasure") and is said to have destroyed the Scorpia ("The Scorpia"). "Alexander's Cup" states that he also received the Diamond Cup of Alexander the Great, in other stories attributed to either the 3rd or the 4th Phantom.

The first Phantom was eventually killed by bandits ("The Wig").

The wife of the first Phantom is said to have been either an unnamed granddaughter of Christopher Columbus ("The Heirs"), Christina, the daughter of the Viking Eric the Rover ("The Name") or an unnamed Spanish princess ("Captain Amazon - Pirate Queen").

According to Moonstone
The name of the 1st Phantom has been given both as Sir Christopher Standish and as Kit Walker. He was married to Marabella, a great-granddaughter of Christopher Columbus.

According to Bastei
The first Phantom was born in 1515, became Phantom in 1535 and died in 1571.

Fictional Character Biography
According to Team Fantomen
He was born in 1775 to the 12th Phantom and Marion Trelawney.

While in Cornwall, he came to befriend Ben Oakes, a future colonel of the Jungle Patrol.

According to Lee Falk
In "The Vault of Missing Men", he is said to have been born a couple of years after the American Revolutionary War (which ended in 1783) and that his maternal grandfather was an influential American who made him meet with all the important leaders. He then fell in love with Jeanette Lafitte, the sister of the famous pirate Jean Lafitte, and came to marry her after becoming the Phantom. He finally got her brother's permission, though Jean Lafitte was dying then and was buried in the Vault of Missing Men. (In reality, Lafitte died in the 1850's).

In "The Phantom Cowboy", it is stated that it was the 14th Phantom who married Jeanette Lafitte.

Attention is requested to create new articles from these links. Please remove this message when finished.) or something like that which i pulled from another wiki --Dark Lord Xander 09:30, 22 February 2008 (CET)
