Overview
The first issue of 1999 was released on December 29, 1998 which means that technically, 27 Fantomen issues were published in 1998. Previous years when this has happened (in 1976 and 1983), the 27th issue was numberd as #27, but this time the publishers wanted to keep Fantomen 26/1998 as the last issue of 1998.
This means that since 1998, the last issue released in December (which is on sale until January the following year) is numbered as #1.
