Plot synopsis

Following the events of "Black Ivory", The 16th Phantom travels to South Carolina to find the 40 men who have been kidnapped by slavers. In Wilmington plantation owner Cromfield and his colleagues are making good business selling slaves at auction. When The Phantom arrives he rents a house and gets help from the slave Zeb to put a spanner in Cromfield's works.
