Plot summary
Kit, age around 10, daydreams about the days when he is Phantom. Kit and Heloise are with their father in Morristown, the Bengali port, waiting for Diana to return from Afghanistan. They are being minded by Andooka, while the Phantom has identified the Singh Pirate Vladimir at the waterfront. The Phantom leaves Vladimir under Devil's watchful eye and goes off to investigate, but Vladimir is prepared and escapes after spraying Devil with pepper spray. The twins are very bored, and convince Andooka to take them to the Amusement Park, against their father's wishes. On the way, Kit sees Devil and runs off to "help Papa in an adventure".
In the meantime, Phantom has found an Interpol message advising that a freighter is suspected of smuggling explosives. He returns to find Vladimir and Devil both gone, and suddenly finds himself needing to rescue a young woman about to crash. She is Leeana, the daughter of the local leader of the Singh Brotherhood, with a twisted and idealistic attitude to her daddy's line of business. Leeana naively takes Phantom right into the Singh headquarters, where he is amazed to find his arch nemisis, Dogai Singh. The Phantom finds this adventure one of his toughest yet, complicated by Kit turning up at a critical moment. Is Kit to become the 22nd Phantom at age 10?!?
