Taru Tagama-Luaga is the longtime schoolteacher of Rex and Tom-Tom, and later teacher of Kit and Heloise. She is married to Lamanda Luaga.

Miss Tagama was brought to the Deep Woods to educate the Phantom's adopted son Rex and his friend Tom-Tom. Rex King Later on she became the teacher of Kit and Heloise. After having met President Luaga T, a love relationship began to develop.

She married President Luaga and became First Lady of Bangalla. Battle of the Jungle Boys The Phantom prevented an assassination attempt at their wedding.
